#1505 6 1/2” W X 5” D Spalted Maple Bowl Spalting is a process that is caused by a fungus that gets into the tree after it dies. Once the wood is dried, the process ceases and the piece will stay as you see it now.
The bowl is coated with food safe finish so it can be used as a serving dish. If used as such, it should be hand washed in warm soapy water, rinsed and dried. It is not microwaveable nor is it dishwasher safe. Also, it should not be used for extended refrigerated storage. Wooden utensils are recommended.
